Meet Rose Machado! A surfer, model, and environmental advocate, she’s not just living the surf lifestyle; she’s reimagining it with a focus on sustainability and creativity. Her vibrant personality captivated us, and we couldn’t resist asking her a few questions to get to know her better during our recent shoot in Maui for our new Moorea collection. 

“I had the most amazing time shooting in Maui!” she said, emphasizing how much she cherishes the opportunity to travel for campaigns, especially when her best friend is the photographer adding a personal touch to the experience. During the shoot, Rose felt very confident, remarking that the sexy cuts of the suits made her feel undeniably herself. “I loved the cuts; they made me feel sexy,” she explained, reflecting on how the designs enhanced her self-expression.

Moorea collection is definitely one of her favorites because of the tropical vibes and vibrant colors, “I’m obsessed with the colors! They’re perfect for Hawaii! My favorite was the orange one piece!” 

Rose also loved the fabric material, noting their super soft texture that doesn’t slip, ensuring a flattering fit. She feels a deep connection to SL’s ethos, saying, “The bold colors and sexy cuts are very me.”

She encourages the SL community to embrace their individuality. “Look in the mirror and love what you see!” she advises, reminding everyone of the importance of celebrating oneself.
